We send our used glasses and hearing aids to
CLERC = Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre in Western Canada. At the CLERC warehouse, glasses are cleaned, sanitized, prescriptions verified, sorted, minor repairs are completed and then they re sent off to developing countries where needed. Often Lions alongside volunteer optometrists work to preform eye exams and fit men, women and children with glasses. Our club collects an average of 1500 pairs per year, we partner with Costco, Ashwood Manor, the community, Lions members, family & friends to collect eyeglasses and hearing aids. If you, your family or friends have eyeglasses or hearing aids that are no longer needed, and are in the London area, please contact Lion Terry Lane at 519-652-8116 and a pick-up can be arranged.
